The Supreme Court building

The Supreme Court building is open to the public Monday to Friday from 0930 to 1630.

Please note that The Supreme Court building will be closed to the public on the following bank holiday dates:

Registry opening times

Registry is open on most weekdays at the following times:

  • Monday to Thursday
    1000 to 1630
  • Friday
    1000 to 1600
Registry on Friday 25 October

Please note that on Friday 25 October the Registry will open at the later time of 1100, and calls to the Supreme Court's main telephone switchboard will not be answered between 1000 to 1100, due to staff training. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause.

Registry during Christmas recess

Please note that Registries of both the Supreme Court and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will be closed during the Christmas period.

The Registry will close at 1630 on Wednesday 18 December 2019 and will reopen at 1000 on Wednesday 8 January 2020.

Please note that from 8 January 2020 to 10 January 2020 the Registry will be open from 1000 to 1600 only. Usual hours of 1000 to 1630 will resume from Monday 13 January 2020.

Supreme Court staff present in the building while the Registry is closed will not be able to accept papers on behalf of the Court.

If your time limit for filing documents expires on a business day during this Christmas vacation period, it will be extended automatically until 8 January 2020.
