Building and Registry Opening Times
The Supreme Court building
The Supreme Court of the United Kingdom (UKSC) is open to the public, parties and media.
All hearings are available to watch live and on-demand via our websites.
UKSC judgments will be handed down in the Court, on Wednesdays at 9.45am. They will continue to be live streamed via the UKSC website. Judgments will be announced one week in advance, as usual.

The Registries
The Registry public counter is open 11am to 3pm Monday-Thursday and the Registry staff will answer telephone and email enquiries 10am–4pm Monday–Friday, during law terms. Parties should file their papers remotely.

Easter Recess
The Registry will close at 4.00pm on Wednesday 13 April 2022 and will reopen at 10am on Tuesday 26 April 2022.
If your time limit for filing documents expires on a business day during this Easter vacation period, it will be extended automatically until 26 April 2022.
This is provided for by UKSC Practice Direction 2.1.8 and JCPC Practice Direction 2.1.8. (Please note that this does not mean that documents due on or after 26 April 2022 are subject to any automatic extension.)
Whitsun Recess
The Registry will close at 4.00pm on Friday 27 May 2022 and will reopen at 10am on Tuesday 7 June 2022.
If your time limit for filing documents expires on a business day during this vacation period, it will be extended automatically until 7 June 2022.
