The Supreme Court building

The Supreme Court building is open to the public Monday to Friday from 0930 to 1630.

Please note that The Supreme Court building will be closed to the public on the following bank holiday dates:

Registry opening times

Registry is open on most weekdays at the following times:

  • Monday to Thursday
    1000 to 1630
  • Friday
    1000 to 1600

Registry during Easter

Please note that Registries of both the Supreme Court and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will be closed during the Easter period.

The Registry will close at 1630 on Tuesday 7 April 2020 and will reopen at 1000 on Monday 20 April 2020.

Please note that on 20 April 2020 the Registry will be open from 1000 to 1600 only. Usual hours of 1000 to 1630 will resume from Tuesday 21 April 2020.

Supreme Court staff present in the building while the Registry is closed will not be able to accept papers on behalf of the Court.

If your time limit for filing documents expires on a business day during this Easter vacation period, it will be extended automatically until 20 April 2020.

Registry during Whitsun

Please note that the Registries of both the Supreme Court and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council will be closed during the Whitsun vacation period.

The Registry will close at 1630 on Thursday 21 May 2020 and will reopen at 1000 on Monday 1 June 2020.

Please note that on Monday 1 June 2019 the Registry will be open from 1000 to 1600 only. Usual hours of 1000 to 1630 will resume from Tuesday 2 June 2020.

Supreme Court staff present in the building while the Registry is closed will not be able to accept papers on behalf of the Court.
