Supreme Court launches the next phase of its ambitious Change Programme

3 April 2023

From today the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom is embarking on the next phase of its ambitious Change Programme. We have been shaping this Programme for the past year and now we are ready to start designing the systems we need now and for the future to provide a world-class service to the Court's users.

Through the Change Programme we will transform processes, make better use of technology and improve the way we work which will support our vision to be a world leading court. We will put our users at the heart of everything we do by understanding and responding to their needs and by embracing technology to provide an excellent end-to-end service. We will be better equipped to provide a modern and seamless service to both UK and international litigants, playing our part, as the flagship court of the legal sector, in supporting economic growth.

We are delighted to be working with Capgemini and Q5 to deliver this Programme. We look forward to working collaboratively to bring about changes that will transform our systems and ways of working.

Sam Clark, Director of Corporate Services and Change said:

"We are very excited to be entering the next stage of our Change Programme. We are equally excited to continue working with Capgemini and Q5 who have already supported us in focussing on the changes and improvements the Court needs. Now it's about designing and delivering those services which will ensure that we deliver an excellent service to our users and the work of the Court is visible and accessible to all."

Khalil Souki, Director, Capgemini:

"It has been fascinating to work with such a unique and important organisation as the UK Supreme Court. Our work so far has been incredibly productive and has helped us to hone in on the changes that are needed to improve the services that the Court offers. We're now going to set into action a process that it is going to have hugely beneficial results for court users around the world."
